Martyrdom in the Margin

–Please take two minutes to answer–
What place does martyrdom have:
1.In a world of over 7billion people?
2.In a country of 316,000,000+?
3.In our personal “village”?
4.In our personal lives?
5.In our person?
6.Of our person?

While, Circumstance is an Always that is never twice exacting, please do not publish your answers unless you want.

Esther has been on my mind lately.
Esther, as diplomatic soul martyr (as are many mothers, sisters, and friends, and non-titled women)….
As Judaic heroine she curbed the wrath of King Ahasuerus.
Although her literal life was spared, what do we learn from her soul sacrifice so many years later?

Why do we perpetuate the false ideology of women as “the weaker vessel”?
No thanks to Frued and Psychology 101 for teaching ancient marginalization as a fact.
For me Judaism is matrilineal heritage.

What have I lost as a woman Today because Esther chose diplomacy in a world run by men? Nothing!
It is, however, difficult to stop a perpetual motion.
I set my motion on emotion (a sensitivity that humans are told to constrain like wire-bound roots of bonsai trees). As Women we especially perpetuate this because even when our sensitivity to our own empathy is expressed, micro- aggressions signal retreat.

I ask you What place does martyrdom have:
1.In a world of over 7billion people?
2.In a country of 316,000,000+?
3.In our personal “village”?
4.In our personal lives?
5.In our person?
6.Of our person?

Many differences in these six questions make them unanswerable to me.
Most importantly is that I know the answers change as complex as if Rubik’s cube were infinite.

Good luck
Good love
